This looks like a steep rock climb but if you approach it from the other side it is a easy scramble up a mostly grassy track. And,wow, the view from the top is worthwhile.

If you don't feel like hiking up Bird Rock, it is still worth a drive around the valley to take in the sights!

Craig yr Aderyn is a hill rising to a height of 258 metres above sea level on the south bank of the River Dysynni near Llanfihangel-y-Pennant in the county of Gwynedd, north-west Wales. Craig yr Aderyn has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest because of the choughs and other birds that breed there

Craig yr Aderyn "Birds' Rock" is a hill rising to a height of 258 metres (846 ft) above sea level. Has a rare colony of Cormorants nesting here who couldn't be bothered to move when the sea retreated as sea levels fell. Great walk, stunning scenery. Near to Castell y Bere. Head towards Tywyn, turn left at Llanegryn.
