Historic Cold Spring Village is a non-profit educational institution established as an Early American open-air living history museum. Its purpose is three-fold: historic preservation, history education, and heritage tourism. This is accomplished by promoting New Jersey history through extensive programs utilizing the architecture, lifestyles, arts, history, and culture found in a rural South Jersey village during the early to mid-19th century. The Village endeavors to provide visitors from throughout New Jersey, the nation, and around the world with an understanding of their cultural heritage through a personal encounter with the past.

We are VERY partial to Cold Spring Village....this is where we got married! The Historic Cold Spring Village gives visitors a glimpse into life during the 18th century in this region. Visitors will enjoy participating in the hands-on family activities, interacting with local residents, and learning to make the connection between the past and the present way of life.

Summer-opening living history village dedicated to life in the first years of American independence. Brewery on site.
A living history village where you can walk through and visit a “working” General Store, school house, blacksmith, bakery, printer, and more, to experience the first years of American Independence. Open in summer only, but you are free to walk the grounds off season as well. There is also a brewery on the property which serves light fare and is open most of the year.
