The Maumee Indoor Theater was first opened in 1946 as a modern movie house and closed in 1996. The theater was purchased in 2000 by the City of Maumee and underwent restoration from 2001 until the reopening in Spring of 2004. Today it stands as a historic icon in Uptown Maumee.
