There are 2 Namuang waterfalls in Koh Samui. Muang in Thai means purple and is named so because of the purple rocks that form the falls. Namuang Waterfall 1 is a beautiful 18m high waterfall and easily accessible by a short walk into the jungle from the parking area nearby, making it a great place to stop off for a quick photo. There is a lovely pool formed at the foot of the waterfall where you will find tourists and locals alike jumping off rocks and taking a dip to cool off. Namuang Waterfall 1Namuang Waterfalls are set in lush jungle surrounds, easily accessible just off the main ring road Route 4169 about halfway between Nathon and Lamai Beach.

A very popular valley, where you can find two waterfalls. The first of them is situated a couple of hundred metres from the main road. The path leading to it is paved for most of the way. Near the waterfalls there are several stands selling food and souvenirs. You can swim in the waterfalls so I recommend taking your swimming things with you. An interesting fact is that the kings and queens of the Chakri dynasty liked visiting this place. Szabo, Pavel. NA MUANG WATERFALLS Although Koh Samui has several waterfalls, the 2 cascades of Namuang are probably the most picturesque and impressive. The rocks and tree roots form a natural staircase that leads to the base of 'Na Muang 1'. A large natural pool is located under the waterfall. A 10-minute walk up the mountain leads to the most beautiful waterfall on the island: "Na Muang 2" in the heart of lush nature.

Waterfall on Samui. If you make it here be sure to enjoy some 'Som Tam' (papaya salad) and a coconut at the waterfall, they make a good one here!
