As part of Ngati Ruanui, we extend an invitation to all people to visit Mount Taranaki by enjoying a stay at our luxury accommodation, or sharing a meal at our award-winning restaurant. When you relax and enjoy this beautiful alpine getaway you will be contributing to the conservation of the Maunga (mountain) and the Ngati Ruanui people. Explore native walks through the Goblin Forest, Dawson Falls and many of the tracks and trails throughout Egmont National Park while immersing yourself in the culture and history of the beautiful Mount Taranaki.

Nice place to finish up after a walk thru The enchanted forest which is right next store. Home of fairies, elves and all things magical. This walk is so underrated

Drive up to past Mountain House Restaurant to car park for Ski field. This is starting place for climbing the mountain from this side of the mountain. About an 8 hour return trip. Please ensure you are well prepared for weather to change quickly. The mountain is dangerous so be prepared.
