Bringing bikes along? Five Mile Recreation Area is a perfect mid-ride picnic spot on a two-wheeled tour of Lower Bidwell Park! Distance: 20-minute bike ride or 10-minute drive from the bungalow.

Five Mile Recreation Area has picnic tables and a swimming, playing in Big Chico Creek, or general outdoor fun. There are many large Sycamore and Valley Oak trees provide shade, and restrooms. There is a little bridge across Big Chico Creek for pedestrians to walk on. Five Mile is a close walk from Hooker Oak Park.
