I suggest Castel of Tirana because it is monument of cultural heritage. Inside the fortified walls of the former fortress, there are many buildings that can be visited, including bars,restaurants, hotels, and cultural institutions.

Unveiled only recently, from its closed premises, which were not used for a long time, this new social and tourist environment is a jewel that comes to the capital as a gift by the Toptani Family. Now Kalaja e Tiranës (Tirana Castle) is a must in your list of places to visit.

The castle is a field fortification with a rectangular plan of 160 x 125 meters, the longest side being the east-west wall. The preserved constructions of some of the towers and segments of the surrounding walls indicate that the castle is likely to have been built for the first time in antiquity, perhaps in the early Byzantine period (IV – VI century A.D). It is believed to belong to one of the fortifications built or reconstructed by the Emperor Justinian in the New Epirus (province of Durrës).

This area belongs to an old traditional family from Tirana named Toptani and it has recently been opened to public. It is transformed into an excellent place where you can eat, have a drink or relax while enjoying some nice music.
