WAT PLAI LAEM Located near Big Buddha in North Koh Samui, Wat Plai Laem is a colorful Buddhist temple, with an astonishing style. The temple houses Guanyin (the Goddess of Mercy) with its 18 arms, as well as an imposing Chinese Buddha that sits on the lake. If you give money for the maintenance of the temple, you will receive a bag of food to feed the many fish that live in the water. This religious place offers visitors an insight into Sino-Thai beliefs as well as Buddhist art and architecture.
