A small but fun LGBT bar with a great drinks and shows.

Ivy is the closest Wellington gets to a gay nightclub, but it's definitely not one. The music is unreliable and there are never visiting DJs, the space is basement-like though nicely done to a cabaret theme. The average age of punters is younger and the feel is queer thanks to a diverse set of young drag queens and friends. Don't go before 11pm on Friday or Saturday night only.

$-$$ The younger LGBT+ spot, for dancing to Britney Spears and Gaga unremixed. Super friendly bar staff, and even frequent drag shows and karaoke.
