Follow the river all the way down to the Opera. This is a a very good walking or bike trip. You can easily follow the trail next to the river. You will se a lot of different things on this trip, nature and old and hidden buildings. I recommend you to start on the top so you have a gentle way down. Take the train from the central station to "Kjelsås stasjon". (12 min). Just ask the staff in red which train to take. When you are there, just follow the river on the way down back to Oslo and the Opera (where the river ends).
