Port Crescent State Park was named a Dark Sky Preserve in 2012 and attracts many astronomy buffs. A dark-sky preserve is an area, usually surrounding a park or observatory that is kept free of any artificial light pollution. One of Michigan’s top state parks. Port Crescent offers many scenic trails to Lake Huron. It also has some of the best cross country skiing trails.
