A challenging 18 hole course set in lovely rolling countryside on the western outskirts of Dumfries, the Dumfries & Galloway is a good test for the club golfer. The course is laid out on pleasant parkland with mature woodland. It’s reasonably flat and the greens and fairways are kept in immaculate condition. The Dumfries & Galloway hosts the 36 hole scratch event Sutherland Chalice each year, which is open to amateurs with a handicap of 4 strokes or less.
