The area is open for general public visitation during daylight hours (1/2 hour before sunrise to 1/2 hour after sunset. The area is CLOSED on Tuesdays and for scheduled special hunts.

Go at low tide and explore an untouched wild beach. It's about a 15 minute drive. When you arrive, you have to sign a logbook but it is free to explore. You will drive through classic low-country Oaks that cover the roads and see the remnants of an old plantation.

There are hiking trails, driving tour on this historic plantation/barrier island. Opportunities for photography and history buffs. Some have found it so romantic making it a great place to get engaged and then marry!
