You get on the incline at the bottom of Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga. It's really steep and quite beautiful as you ascend. Once you're at the top, you can see the view and walk over to some Civil War historical sites at Point Park. There's an ice cream shop at the bottom of the mountain.

This is only a 7 mile drive from here. As long as I've lived in the area, I actually have not gone up the incline. But feel free to look at the reviews.

Head up and down the Incline Railway to go see Rock City Gardens, Ruby Falls and Battles for Chattanooga Museum. Make sure to plan this trip out if you decide to do this! You can package the tickets if you'd like as well and may take a whole day to visit all of them together.

Park at the bottom of Lookout Mountain in historic St Elmo, and ride the incline up to the top to visit Point Park. You can also park at the top and ride down (and then back up).
