Every Thursday, the museum stays open late for NightLife, which is an awesome way to see the place without swarms of kids running around. Sip on cocktails while gazing at jellyfish, an albino alligator, and other creatures in the aquarium. Arrive early to score planetarium tickets, and don’t miss the rainforest housed inside a 90-foot glass dome. Don’t be afraid to wear fancy threads to this. Check the website for that week’s theme, because the museum goes all out with decor and drinks to match.

An aquarium, planetarium, walk through butterfly dome, albino alligator, rooftop green park, animal exhibit and all the nerdy science you could ask for in between. On Thursday evening they host adults only events where you can visit the museum and get served alcohol while you explore.
Thursday light is open for adults over 21 to visit the museum with food and live music. Great way to enjoy the evening with family and friends.
Excellent museum! **Be aware that “smash and grab” car thefts are common in San Francisco tourist areas. To the extent possible, never leave anything valuable in your vehicle, even if stored in a trunk.**

“What to say? One of the great parks of the United States. Just head down the hill to Kezar Stadium (at the very bottom of Willard Street) and you'll see the GGP right beyond it (walk around Kezar to the west to enter the park). You can also enter on Stanyan and Haight (and at many other points). Enjoy the Academy of Sciences, de Young Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, Stow Lake, the Conservatory of Flowers (great night time light shows in the summer and winter) and many, many other features of the park.”
