This park, once the estate of Lady Gregory and Immortalised by regular visitor WB Yeats in his poem 'Wild Swans at Coole' amongst others, is a beautiful place for wood and lakeland walks/jogs. There is a visitor centre and lovely little cafe/restaurant there also (park open all year round, but visitor centre and cafe summer season only) 20 minutes drive approximately from chalet.
