This is a well-located house, and the photos do a good job showing the space. The bedrooms are a good size and it was a nice place to work remotely (2 desk sin the office upstairs, and 1 desk in the bedroom downstairs). The house, especially the kitchen, is well stocked, with many small touches like tissues and chargers for devices. It’s an old house, which comes with some tradeoffs (e.g., the windows don’t really open and the floors are creaky), but it has a lot of charm. It was quiet overall, though note that there was a construction project starting next door, so it might be worth checking to make sure that it won’t impact your stay. Parking was really easy. Beds were comfortable.

I mean, when it comes to spending almost a week in Kingston, it’s hard to beat the location and charm of Paul and Queenie’s home. Upon googling, I learned the house was built in 1811 which, for a history buff like me is super cool. My two partners and I had everything at our disposal to cook meals and relax and meditate as needed. The location right in the heart of the Stockade District was absolutely perfect, within walking distance of all the restaurants and bars and book shops and clothing stores. I can’t wait to come back!

We cannot say enough about our stay at Paul and Queenie’s home. This is our 2nd time and they consistently are just the most helpful,kind, and responsive owners. The place is beautiful we absolutely used the backyard to enjoy take out from the many restaurants. Everything is walkable. This place is a gem we’re staying once a year.

Paul's house upgraded our trip from "visiting family" to "visiting family and staying at the coolest spot". The house and furnishing are stylish, the location is perfect for walking to morning coffee and window shopping (and centrally located for exploring broader Kingston/region), and it's well appointed for a family stay with small kids. Paul was accommodating of our early check-in and put out toys for our kids to play with. We'll be back!
