Diese Unterkunft und Gastgeber für meinen ersten längeren Auslandaufenthalt in einem fremden Land zu haben, in dem ich niemand kannte, war ein wahrhaftiger Glücksgriff. Von der ersten Sekunde fühlte ich mich wohl: Abholung vom Flughafen, Rundfahrt in der Nachbarschaft, das Zimmer wie inseriert und sauber vorgefunden. Das ganze Haus glänzt mit unglaublicher, organisierter Ordentlichkeit. Die Küche ist mit allen vorstellbaren Utensilien ausgestattet und für jeden Bewohner gibt es genügend Stauraum für eigene Einkäufe. Peter und Kanchan erkundigten sich nach meinem Wohlbefinden und gaben Empfehlungen für Ausflüge und Unternehmungen in der Gegend. Auf sämtliche Anliegen und Fragen wurde stets rasch und konstruktiv eingegangen. Sogar ein Fahrrad durfte ich ausleihen.
Kurzum: Ich kann diese Unterkunft nur Wärmstens empfehlen und freue mich darauf, hier noch mehr Zeit verbringen zu dürfen.

A great place to stay if you have any intention of a long-term visit to Portland. Peter and Kanchan were wonderful hosts, highly flexible, and quite friendly. Their home is also in an ideal location in the city, not too far from downtown, close to a grocery store and several restaurants, yet far enough from the city to avoid noise and disturbances.

I wasn't sure what to expect with renting a room in a big house with other roommates, but Peter and Kanchan have made their house feel like a home. They put a lot of effort into ensuring that their home is a welcoming and comfortable space for everyone. Peter met me at my arrival and gave me a tour of the house and made sure I had everything I needed to get settled quickly. Both he and Kanchan were always willing and available to answer questions, help carry luggage in/out of the house, or give a ride to the airport.

Kanchan even made a delicious brunch for the house guests on July 4th, and we had a great time eating and talking. It is rare for this kind of camaraderie to exist in this type of living situation.

The room I stayed in had everything I needed - spacious bathroom with lots of storage, a desk/office chair, lounge chairs, big dresser, closet, bed, and TV. There are also 2 kitchen spaces with all the essentials for cooking and storing food.
