The location was great, but cleanliness and maintenance issues impacted my stay. The bed frame was previously cracked, so we slept on the couch to avoid further damage. It was clear the frame had been repaired before. The freezer had old food and dirty ice, the kettle had stagnant water, and the patio door’s framing was falling apart. The shower never got truly hot, and when using the "cold" side as instructed, the pipes seized up and shook. I also found hair from a previous guest in the shower—definitely not mine, as my hair is purple amd not reddish brown. Though we followed all house rules and cleaned up, I was disappointed to pay a large cleaning fee when the home wasn’t properly cleaned before arrival. I didn’t raise concerns since my stay was short and I didn’t want to find another place last minute, but I hope the host addresses these issues for future guests.

My stay at the Desert Oasis in Phoenix was top-notch all-around - from booking to ease of check-in to the comfort of the accommodations. It felt like home immediately. Susan was responsive, kind, and flexible. She is a great host. I highly recommend the neighborhood for its birds and bunnies, privacy, and location to Piestewa Mountain Preserve.

We really enjoyed our stay in Phoenix! We were there for spring training and some hiking. We were close to highway so getting around was easy. Bed was super comfortable and the place was so quiet and peaceful. It was nice and clean, easy to get to and in a safe and walkable neighborhood. Susan was quick to repond to any questions and even let us pick some lemons from the backyard!

Calming, clean and very peaceful. Great vibe and Susan was the perfect host—communicated just the right way and available if I needed anything. The place is in a great neighborhood with a really nice closed in patio for privacy and enjoying the outdoors (beautiful view of mountains in the distance with palms and citrus trees around).

Bed was incredibly comfortable and bathroom is perfect for the stay (really large shower). Great place to relax and explore Scottsdale/Phoenix area. Will definitely try to book again.

100% recommend for people who want a peaceful, relaxing and very comfortable home away from home. This home is not a party destination, so if that’s what you’re seeking you’ll want to look somewhere else.
