Awesome place

Great place, good for a getaway weekend.

Great place located in a convenient location. Anita was very helpful throughout our stay. Definitely recommend it to others.

This review is more for the host and Airbnb than the house, as we never stayed. Our reservation (Sat–Mon) was canceled less than 48 hours before check-in—Thursday night at 8 PM. The host, Anita, called me privately (not through Airbnb) to say she was canceling because a widow and her two kids needed a place to stay. While I empathize, this left our group of eight stranded before the Niteharts Festival with nearly all nearby places booked.

Anita initially offered to cover half of a new Airbnb, then reduced her offer from $500 to $200, asking me to cancel instead to avoid her fee. After hours of calls and texts, I told her to cancel by 8 PM Friday or I’d contact Airbnb. She delayed until the last minute, then said she could host us again—after I’d already escalated to Airbnb and booked elsewhere.

The entire ordeal was stressful and unprofessional. Good intentions don’t excuse poor communication and last-minute cancellations.
