Great small island for a short escape from everyday life. We really enjoyed our stay as the island is perfect for relaxing for a few days. The food was great on most days, though there’s still room for improvement on others.

Unfortunately, we had some issues with the late check-out we had booked. On our last night, we found out that no one on the island seemed to be aware of it (Gio himself was not there). While they eventually managed to make it work, it led to a very uncoordinated and uncomfortable transfer from the port back to Panama City (booked with Gio too).

We didn’t feel safe with the driver or the vehicle. Despite the rain and there being enough space inside the car, our luggage was strapped to the roof. Even more concerning, the tires were in very poor condition, which made the steep, winding, and slippery roads feel unsafe. This wasn’t the best way to end what was otherwise a great trip.

Das war das Beste meiner ganzen Panamá Reise. Wunderschöne Insel. Wunderbare Menschen. Gio und die ganze Familie waren so lieb. Sie haben uns direkt lieb empfangen und wir hatten zwei sehr wunderschöne Abende mit ihm. Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben…
Es lohnt sich!!!

Gio e tutte le persone che vivono sull’isola sono fantastici, ci hanno accolti con grande affetto e ci hanno fatto sentire a casa. L’isola è splendida e c’è tutto quello di cui si ha bisogno, offre la possibilità di una vacanza unica nel suo genere. Grande condivisione. Non vediamo l’ora di tornare!
