I so wanted to give a 5 stars, because Fred is the best when it comes to communication. The location is amazing - very close to Yale; 2 and a half blocks to the Peabody; a short work to the Prospect Hill Historic District with its drop-dead gorgeous homes. A driveway makes parking convenient. The bathroom was spotless, with a bidet on the toilet. My butt has never.... ok, I won't go there.
So what irked me? My wife and I had read the description, so we did not expect a full kitchen. But I don't think a refrigerator and a microwave - no kitchen sink for washing dishes or tableware; no cabinets for food storage; no plates and only two mugs and two glasses - constitute a kitchenette.
Second, a place that is listed as a "Garden Retreat" should have a nicer looking garden. What we saw - "unkempt" comes to mind. Mugwort, Japanese knotweed , yes- but no flowers.
The neighbors upstairs were quiet enough.
It was a good stay - perhaps even a VERY good stay - but not a great one.
