Great location, great price. Host was super kind and helpful.

We spent a lot of time in Volcano Park and needed somewhere to stay close. When we arrived we noticed there was old coffee with mold floating on top in the coffee pot. The shower curtain had been cut in half so the moldy part was gone at the bottom but it wasn't long enough to keep the water out of the floor. We did not realize the severity of the situation at first because he had left the back door wide open to air the place out.
There was a lot of mold and mildew which I reacted to badly in the night with a rash and trouble breathing so we ended up leaving at 3:30 in the morning. The climate is very wet and the room definitely needs a dehumidifier! There's mold growing on the inside of the entrance door. The towels in the bathroom smelled of mildew. There is a space heater and a fan but no air flow. Also, soaps and shampoo were provided in the bathroom but they had water poured into them and they we're very old and unusable. We also noticed that the smoke alarm was removed.

Jade Oasis was a pleasant stay and a warm shelter in the cool, cold, rainy town of volcano. John and Joy were wonderful host and treated us such hospitality. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
