Had such an amazing time at The Hideaway. It's the perfect spot to get away and decompress. The surrounding area is absolutely gorgeous and I loved the hazy mornings here. And even though it's somewhat off the beaten path (you really do get the feeling of being out in the woods here), you're still close to town if you want to dip in for a quick coffee or check out the restaurants.

I made full use of the kitchen during my stay and found it well equipped for whatever you might need, so I was super happy about that!!

The pictures of the interior of the house are spot on, might have been even better than I expected. Score!

Overall great trip and Scott was excellent at responding to any questions I had both before and during my stay.

I had a great time at Scott's place! It's beautifully situated in the mountains and feels removed, yet it's a close, easy drive to the town of Idywilld. The house itself was comfortable and more than big enough for our group of 5. We had many good times hanging out on both decks, in the hot tub, and just lounging in the house itself. Scott was an attentive, proactive host, checking frequently and always making sure we had what we needed in terms of instructions, pointers, and recommendations. Great experience overall!

We had such a wonderful time in Scott and Lucy's Hideaway with our family of 7! There was plenty of room for everyone, beautiful view from the deck, outdoor hot tub and fire pit - all in a secluded mountain location just 10 minutes from town. Air conditioning and wifi worked great, there were plenty of dishes, pots and pans for cooking, and hosts even provided coffee, tea and bathrobes!
Will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay at The Hideaway! It was the perfect spot for family time — cozy, clean, and full of charm. The balconies and views are absolutely beautiful, and we especially loved relaxing in the hammock and soaking in the hot tub after a day of exploring.

The home has great ambiance with thoughtful touches, A/C to keep comfortable, and plenty of space to spread out. Check-in was simple, parking was plentiful, and the hosts were very reliable and communicative throughout our stay.

The location is ideal — close to town for shops and restaurants, but just far enough away to feel private and peaceful. There’s even a hiking trail right from the property, which made it so easy to get outside and enjoy the forest. The Adventure National Park Passes came in handy too — we explored Lake Fulmor and Hemet during our trip, which made the stay even more memorable.

Highly recommend The Hideaway for anyone looking for a cozy retreat in Idyllwild. We’ll definitely be back!
