We stayed here for four nights and it could not have been more restful. One night I fell asleep on the outdoor swinging bed and didn’t wake up until the quacking ducks on the lake decided it was time.
The short 20 minute drive to Rome, GA was lovely, the sunsets and sunrises were beautiful, and the birding was amazing with herons, egrets, kingfishers, and many more.
I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone trying to “get away”. We ended up not using the TV and just reading books and drawing instead as this location is perfect for those activities.
One note for future visitors: the ladder to the bed is that, a ladder, so be prepared for that! We loved it because it gave us a little exercise between our lounging on the couches.
We will definitely be back.

So relaxing & loved the bed swing!

Absolutely perfect! We went for a quiet getaway for my husband’s birthday, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place. We had freshly-caught catfish for dinner, and caught and released bass and bream. Relaxed and spent time unwinding with no wifi. We didn’t know how much we needed this. Amazing home and host.

Charming cabin in the trees, overlooking peaceful waters. Lots of wildlife and thoughtful little touches. The giant porch swing was heaven!
