Our recent stay in Kestrel, one of the three lakeview lodges, was just fantastic. It is a beautiful lodge with amazing views out to lake ullswater. The site is very quiet and peaceful situated in the very beautiful scenic area between Glenridding and Patterdale with its own private shore that you can easily walk to. Most of the best places to visit also only 30 mins drive away so the site is in a great central location. The staff were also fantastic, always helpful and very kind. Can’t wait to return next year!

Really cosy little place with lots of walks up the surrounding hills possible from the front door. Red squirrels in the garden were a bonus!

A last minute booking and It was a gem of a place. Perfect tranquil location ideal for walks. Friendly helpful with will return.
