Damien Hirst’s Verity stands proudly on Ilfracombe Pier, guarding the harbour entrance and looking out over the Bristol Channel. The world-famous artist has loaned the 65-foot sculpture of bronze & steel to the town for 20 years, a town he very much loves, and lives nearby.

Lovely to walk around the harbour. Have an ice cream and wonder down to see Verity and watch the waves.

Verity is our resident sculpture by Damien Hurst. She looks out over the sea from the harbour as if protecting us! If you walk up to St Nicolas’s chapel, there is an information board on her as well as a different view.

This is Damien Hirst Verity statue, its a must see as this has put Ilfracombe on the map!
