Kao Kab Kang (meaning curry with rice) is an unassuming restaurant opposite the popular tourist attraction Art in Paradise on Chang Klan Road. It is a couple of kilometres south of the main Night Bazaar but the food is so highly recommended it is well worth the journey. The menu is dominated by Thai cuisine and they prepare it very well: try the Thai red curry with chicken and the beef in tamarind, prepared according to your required level of spice. Staff at Kao Kab Kang speak English and offer a noticeably warm and welcoming service. Families are welcome and they even serve rice in the shape of a teddy bear for the kids.
