Midland City Forest's prime time to shine is during the winter- typically Dec- March. This local gem is renown for setting you free of cabin fever by offering a variety of winter activities including tobogganing, sledding, cross country skiing, ice skating and snowshoeing. Rent a toboggan and head up the elevated toboggan run and ride it a tenth of a mile ensuring winter thrills. The young and the young at heart get their workout on the sledding hill which is groomed daily. Grab your skates or rent some and hit the ice on the large ice skating rink. The forest provides groomed trails perfect for cross country skiing or snowshoeing. When the cold sets in deep in your bones head into the chalet to warm up by the fire and enjoy a refreshment from their concession counter :) The Chalet is available to rent for parties as well! After the March melt grab your mountain bike or your hiking boots and enjoy several miles trails that are open year-round. Trails are pet friendly ;)
