Every Friday you can enjoy the big street festival w/ food and drinks, and local arts and crafts. Fine dining and/or local seafood all directly on the beach with live music and great bars. The neighborhood is not as hectic as Chaweng, and is much more laid back. The beach is about a ten minute walk down the road, which offers some really nice restaurants and shops. The main hub of Chaweng is easy accessible by motorbike or car and will only take about 10 - 15 minutes.

Every Friday there is an evening market held at the Fisherman’s Village in Bophut. It’s a relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere with the road closed to traffic and the popular market attracts Koh Samui residents as well as tourists. A great area for a stroll, look around, purchase souvenirs, eat, etc. Lots of atmosphere. Can become very crowded.
