The Lake District National Park within easy reach. Why not visit Aira Force, a spectacular walk up with beautiful waterfalls. Then explore Ullswater and venture further into the outstandingly beautiful Lake District National Park.
Beautiful water fall. Walk from the car park by Lake Ullswater, past the falls, past the rapids and rocky river above all the way up to the Dockray Hotel at the top for your lunch and meander back down to the car.

A great rainy day activity! It sounds silly, but also makes perfect sense… Visiting the nearby waterfall during heavy rain makes it all the more spectacular, you can hear the water roaring! There is plenty of pay and display parking, operated by the National Trust, meaning it is free if you are a member.
